I want to be a nurse practitioner. When I start school, what specialty to choose?
When they start school next year I have to choose a specialty. The options are: * Holistic Health for Adults (clinical nurse specialist) * Adult Health Alternative Medicine (path) * Adult Health Alternative Medicine (Education Channel) * Nursing Administration and Health Care Systems * Management of Public Health Nursing * Maternity Child Health Since I have to pick one, and since I know that my ultimate goal is to become a NP (CAC perhaps if I can find a program near me) one of these specialties is more appropriate for me. PS – Assuming I do not even know enough If this question makes sense. I mean, does it even matter what I go? Do I have to start all over again to the school to move from NP to CNS? Virtually anything you can share the process would be useful. Thank you. 🙂
NP CRNA http://www.nursinglink.com/careers/97 http://www.nursinglink.com/careers/286 both belong to the category of nursing practice Advanced http://www.nursinglink.com/careers/566 talk to your teachers to see where you can ask on the forums for each of these positions through the links provided – This is actually both a couple of my goals, and a psychiatric nurse – I have not really decided where I want to go and I'm taking one step at a time.
